SAEFA brings you Back to the Future, a breakfast with Frans Cronje on 8 November @ 07:30am

South African Engineers and Founders Association

Bonus update, a  strategic report was released  late last week by the Centre for Risk Analysis at the IRR on how the leadership race in the ANC is likely to conclude and what the long-term implications for South Africa and the economy will be. This makes this breakfast even more relevant to attend.

See below to register and note that we will cater for special dietary requirements.

Clem Sunter wrote in the foreword to Frans Cronje's book, S.A. in 2030, "Nobody can predict precisely the way the future is going to play out in the long term.  That is why it is much better to be vaguely right than precisely wrong.  Scenario planning is a methodology that accepts this principle by identifying the forces or trends that are shaping the future."

With our country's heightened levels of political and economic uncertainty as a backdrop, the South African Engineers and Founders (SAEFA) is pleased to host a presentation by one of South Africa's  leading scenario planner and CEO of the Institute for Race Relations, Frans Cronje.

For those of you who have not yet seen  Frans Cronje's presentation, it provides an insightful assessment of what has taken place over the last 20 years and explores  four scenarios that could potentially play out.  Frans also expands on the forces and trends that are shaping our future in this country.

For those of you who have already seen his presentation, it is worthwhile updating oneself, as Frans explains in his latest book that events have moved along faster than expected.

Hear what is likely to take place with unions and bargaining councils. Hear what the likely political landscape will be, as South Africa faces the next ANC elective conference.

Enlighten yourself with the scenarios, as sketched by Frans Cronje, at a breakfast to be held at the Reading Country Club on Wednesday 8th November.

Coffee and tea served from 7.30 am, breakfast at 8.15am, presentation at 8.45am and you can be on you way by 10.00 am.
