Increase in MEIBC Levies 1 April 2024

Please take careful note that the Registration and Administration Expenses Levy (the “Admin Levy”) and the Dispute Resolution Levy will be increased with effect from 1 April 2024:

• Admin Levy:                                  R2.21 per week (R9.57 monthly) payable by each scheduled employee, with a matching contribution paid by the employer.
• Dispute Resolution Levy:            R0.80 per week (R3.46 monthly) payable by all employees, with a matching contribution paid by the employer.
  

Please take careful note that the Admin Levy is payable in respect of scheduled employees only.  Scheduled employees are employees covered by the Main Agreement.  This does not include management and admin staff, office cleaning staff, etc.  The Dispute Resolution Levy is payable in respect of all employees in the business.
